Yvana Uranga-Hernandez, PhD, CCC-SLP

Owner, Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist

Yvana Uranga-Hernandez is an experienced bilingual speech-language pathologist and professor. She provides private bilingual speech and language services and teaches at a local private university in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.  Her expertise is in the areas of language and literacy disorders, autism spectrum disorders and multicultural aspects in communicaton disorders. 

 

Dr. Uranga-Hernandez focuses on assessing children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds in order to address the issue of overrepresentation in special education and their underrepresentation in gifted and talented school programs. Dr. Uranga-Hernandez takes a whole child approach. She is dedicated to working with each child's strengths and challenges to best assist the child in meeting their full potential.

Dr. Uranga-Hernandez has 25 years of experience and is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the State of California.
